Elton J. Bruins is the Blekkink Professor of Religion at Hope College. He has served as Dean of
Humanities and Chairman of the Religion Department. In addition to numerous articles on Dutch-American studies, Bruins is the author of The Americanization of a Congregation and Isaac Cappon: Holland's Foremost Citizen.
