Hans Krabbendam

Hans Krabbendam is the Assistant Director of the Roosevelt Study Center in Middelburg, The Netherlands. He earned a Ph.D. degree at the University of Leiden. He has had significant past involvement with the Association for the Advancement of Dutch American Studies and recently completed a term as president. He is currently developing for publication a general overview of Dutch immigration between 1840 and 1940 entitled Vrijheid in het verschiet: Nederlandse emigratie naar Amerika, 1840-1940, (forthcoming, Hilversum, The Netherlands, Uitgeverij Verloren).
